Scituate Seaside Haven
Private Residence
with Foley Fiore Architecture
A new home on a sloping site overlooking Scituate Harbor serves as a cozy nest for a retired couple while providing space for family to visit. The scale and language of the house changes as the site slopes toward the water. The street elevation is evocative of a traditional Colonial while the waterside incorporates dormers which break through the roof plane and allow a private porch off the Master Suite to be nestled in. At the water side a porch spans the width of the home and serves as an outdoor room off the open Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room. Upon opening the front door we are treated to a clear view through the house to the ocean beyond.
